A Multi-Temporal Small Baseline Interferometry Procedure Applied to Mining-Induced Deformation Monitoring

چکیده
This work addresses a methodology based on the interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) applied to analyze and monitor ground-motion phenomena induced by underground mining activities in Legnica-Glogow copper district, south-western Poland. The adopted technique employs an InSAR processing chain that exploits stack of Sentinel-1 (SAR) images using small baseline multitemporal approach. Interferograms with temporal baselines are first selected, then their network is optimized reduced eliminate noisy data, order mitigate effect decorrelation sources related seasonal phenomena, i.e., snow vegetation growth, acquisition geometry. atmospheric disturbance mitigated spatio-temporal filter nonequispaced fast Fourier transform. estimated displacement maps time series show both linear impulsive ground motion validated against global navigation satellite system (GNSS) measurements. Monitoring of mining induced surface deformation
The main objective of the project ”Monitoring of mining induced surface deformation” (ALOS-RA-94) is to evaluate multi-temporal PALSAR data for land surface deformation monitoring, using interferometric techniques. Differential interferometry using PALSAR data over several mining sites in Germany, Poland and Czech Republic, as well as over alpine landslides in Switzerland and Italy was used to ...
متن کاملSurface Deformation Monitoring along Qinghai-tibet Railway Using Small Baseline Sar Interferometry, a Case Study of Beiluhe Section, Qinghai, China
The project of Qinghai-Tibet Railway (QTR) confronts the challenge of surface displacements resulted from seasonal freezing bulge, thawing subsidence and compression settlement. Therefore the embankment instability monitoring is essential for policy makers as well as emergency managers for its operational safety. In this study, we implemented SAR interferometry for extracting ground deformation...
متن کاملJoint Multi-baseline SAR Interferometry
We propose a technique to provide interferometry by combining multiple images of the same area. This technique differs from the multi-baseline approach in literature as (a) it exploits all the images simultaneously, (b) it performs a spectral shift preprocessing to remove most of the decorrelation, and (c) it exploits distributed targets. The technique is mainly intended for DEM generation at c...
متن کاملAllan variance applied to time series baseline results for GPS-based deformation monitoring applications
Deformation monitoring systems seek to detect constant movements with time, varying movements with time or a sudden movement. A slow movement at the millimetre level will not be detected by comparing consecutive session solutions due to inaccuracies between sessions. However, comparisons over several sessions, or days, or weeks, could highlight slow consistent changes. The Allan variance is int...
متن کاملDegree-1 Earth deformation from very long baseline interferometry measurements
[1] The presence of degree-1 deformations in very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) measurements is detected for the first time. We compare VLBI measurements with the deformation field predicted using a GPS-determined load moment. Degree-1 series in the center of figure frame have root mean square values up to 3 and 1.5 mm in the up and horizontal components respectively. The predicted baseli...
